1857 Large Cottage Country Map - Lake Huron / Ottawa River / Ontario/ Antique Map Spanish and White Fish Rivers - SHEET 2 - Hand Coloured

A rare antique map of Spanish River and the White Fish River, in Ontario's cottage country. Dated 1853 on the map.

Published in 1857 as part of a report, "Plans of Various Lakes and Rivers between Lake Huron and the River Ottawa to accompany the Geological Reports of Canada for 1853-54-55-56". With original hand colouring.

This map, an important historical map showing how Ontario's cottage country looked over 150 years ago, is entitled "Topographical Plan of Part of the Spanish and White Fish Rivers", and is attributed to A. Murray Esq., Assistant Provincial Geologist.

This is the original antique map from 1857, not a modern reproduction. Bananastrudel sells only originals. A copy of the title page of the report will be included as proof of provenance.

In good condition; blank en verso. Some blemishes, as shown in photos. Tears along the folds and edges have been repaired with archival mending tissue.
